King of Clay, Nadal downs Federer to seal place in history
In one of the great French Open finals, Rafael Nadal called on every ounce of his talent, athleticism and courage to down Roger Federer 7-5, 7-6, 5-7, 6-1 and equal Bjorn Borg's record of six Roland Garros titles. Superb Li holds off Schiavone to make history
China's Li Na held firm in the face of a ferocious comeback on the part of defending champion Francesca Schiavone to win 6-4, 7-6(0) and claim the first-ever Grand Slam title for a player from Asia. BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) -- Argentina coach Diego Maradona underwent minor facial surgery on Tuesday after he was bitten by one of his pet dogs. The Argentine television station TN said the 49-year Maradona had reconstructive surgery to repair an injury to his upper lip after he was bitten.
