How to install the News Script
1) Unzip the .zip file received from us.
2) Upload all files onto your website either in your root directory or in a folder(directory) of your script — for example — named "SCRIPTFOLDER" which is then placed in your root directory.
3) Open http://www.YOURDOMAIN.com/SCRIPTFOLDER/installation.php.
4) Installation wizard will ask you to complete the form below.
- PHP/MySQL installed on your server
- MySQL server name which is usualy 'localhost'
- MySQL username - when you create a database you need to assign minimum one user
- MySQL password - this is the password of the user assigned to database
- Server path to script directory, Full URL to script directory, Script directory name - they will appear automatically. You can change if they are different.
- Admin Username - this will be your username for the protected administrator pages
- Admin Password - this will be your password for the protected administrator pages
5) After you select 'Install Script' you will see next screen:
6) Click on the link - 'Login here', which will redirect you to the administrator login form.
How to use news administration
Enter Admin Username and Admin Password (you set earlier)
When you login, you will see the administration page.
First, go to 'Put on Webpage' page and copy one of two codes. Then go to your page and paste the code between <body>code</body> tags. Second code(with php include) is searching engines friendly.
Next, select a few sample news articles to see how it will appear on your news page. Go to 'News' button in administration and then hit 'Create News' Button. Insert Title, Summary, Content of the article, upload photo if you like, set location and width of the photo. Select the button 'Create News'. It is just as simple to create additional news articles and to view how they will appear on your live website.
Then, go to the 'Options' section on admin page, and on 'Visual options' you can pre-define the visual style of the articles. From here you can completely change the way your news articles will appear.
You can set the number of news articles per page as well as choose between three options to display the news in the listing - Only Titles, Titles and Summary and Full News.
You can translate 'Pages' and navigation 'Back' button in your language.
